Senior B championship The Downs  2:11  Maryland 2:15
On Wednesday evening we played the first round of the Senior B championship at home. A poor performance in the first half left us 12 point s in arrears. A much improved second half saw us reduce the difference to a point but Maryland  scored a fortuitous  goal to ensure a win. Team : Shane Nugent , Kyle Gavin, Peter Murray, Ryan Briody, Kevin Smullen, Mark Leavy, Andrew Dalton, Dean Clarke, Vincent Conneely, Jake Cahill, Sean Loughlin, Shane Carroll, Dean Egerton, Larry Donoghue, Kevin Bell, Subs: Niall O’Doherty, Dean Daly, Dean Moran, Pat Leavy

League Div 2 The Downs 1:7 Rochfordbridge  1:8
On Sunday morning  in gale conditions we took on the home side playing against the wind in the first half we found it difficult to secure scores, Rochfordbridge made good use of the wind to lead at halftime 1:7 to 1:0. With the wind in the second half we limited Rochfordbridge  to a point, but we didn’t make the best use of our scoring chances and paid the price leaving the two points behind us. Team: Ciaran McCormack, Peter Murray, Mark Dalton, Mark Leavy, Ben Hogan, Jack Hogan, Declan Lynam, PJ Maguire, Dean Clarke, Brendan Cleary, John Smyth, Kevin Smullen, Luke Loughin, Paul Shanley, Dean Egerton, Subs Used: Shane Carroll.
