Minor league Win away to Killucan.
We had a good start to our 2011 season with a win in Killucan. The victory was mainly due to hard work in the first half against a stiff wind. Our backs were out in front and we delivered accurate ball to the inside forward line. By doing so we got through for 2 goals and scored a third from the penalty spot. The work rate was most encouraging with everybody sticking to their tasks very well. With the wind behind us we pulled away from Killucan in the second half. To their credit Killucan kept fighting all the way and were unlucky not to be closer at the finish. During the hour we showed some very good finishing and approach play with our tackling and working back of a good standard for start of season. We have work to do on the passing and fitness will have to come up a few notches. Well done to all. Thanks to John Nolan for his help on Sunday morning.
