Under 8s
The under 8s traveled to Croke Park on Friday to take part in Go Games. It was an enjoyable day with  all players getting the opportunity to play on the hallowed ground.

On Sunday morning our second team continued their good run with another win, playing against a strong wind in the first half we went in a halftime  1:7 each. We dominated the second half  and emerged convincing winners. Team: Kevin McGuire, Cian Carthy, Trevor McCormack, Niall Murray, Conor Carley, Jack Hogan, Paul Shanley, Brendan Cleary, PJ Maguire, Niall Folan, Stephen Devine, Shane Carroll, Luke Loughlin, Sean Loughlin, Dean Egerton. Subs Used: Shane Egerton, Niall O’Doherty, Kyle Gavin, Kevin Smullen.
 
Under 14 boys Well done to the division 2 side captained by Enda O’Rourke who recorded a first round league victory away to Castledaly on Saturday last. Thanks to the parents who travelled and well done to all 16 lads who have given the mentors lots to think about with Feile approaching. We expect the lads to be out again in the league this Thursday. The group stages of Feile take place this Saturday with 3 games in Ballymore starting at 11am v Caulry followed by Millmore Gaels at 1145am and Multyfarnham at 1230pm.

Membership now due for 2013 Juvenile Player €25, Adult Player €40, Student Player €25, Ordinary Adult member €30, OAP €15, Family €50 You can also do your membership online through the website.
Free Draw of a years subscription to the club Lotto  for all members who pay their membership before 24th March.
 
Mouth Guards
A Reminder  it is now compulsory to wear a mouth guard for all underage training and matches
 
Bingo
Bingo continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and brings a friend for an enjoyable night’s entertainment.
 
Defibrillator
Reminder that a Defibrillator is located at the clubhouse on at the external wall of the entrance porch.

Zumba
Classes every Wednesday from 8.30pm – 9.30pm, in   the Downs GAA clubhouse.  €5 per class.   For more details contact Sharon on 086 8200540

The Downs Ladies Football
 
League Div 2             The Downs  4: 10 Milltown 3:7
We travelled to Milltown for our second game of the league and  got our first win with a very competitive performance. Leading by one point at halftime, The Downs  aided with the wind in the second half used it to their advantage  in moving the ball and  taking scores. Clothes Collections
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member or in The Shop. Please ask family, neighbours, friend and co-workers to fill a bag.
