On Sunday we had our charity/fun game in aid of breast cancer research. The over 30s taking on the under 30s, the over 30s had in their ranks players from the 70s and 80s this experience along with the fitness of the just over 30s ensured victory for the over 30s.
The ladies football started the day with the younger team proving successful.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the games and to Sean Carroll and Seamus Conroy for organising the event.
Medal Presentation
The charity game was followed by a medal presentation to the 2010 Senior B championship winning team.
One of the highlights of the day was the presentation made by the club to Matt Carley in recognition of his 41 years unbroken service as treasurer of the club a remarkable achievement, surely a record never to be equalled. Thanks to Tom Farrell county chairman for making the presentation.
