Senior:
Our seniors
played Sean Connolly’s in Round 5 of the League. The game finished on a score
line of 0-9 to 0-9. We raced into a four point lead early in the first half but
Connollys notched over a few frees and we went in one up at the break (5-4). In
the second half, Connolly’s increased the pressure and raced into an 8-5 lead.
A late 45 from Donei McKeon near the end of the game forced the draw in a game
we should have won but could have lost. Sean Connolly’s deployed a defensive game
from the start bringing their forwards back into defence and midfield in what
is becoming norm when teams play Colmcille. The draw still leaves us in
contention for leader cup honours after 5 games played. (3 wins, 2 draws, 1
defeat – see tables)
