The minor club held a very successful blitz on Saturday last in Fr. McGee Park to present the U/8’s, U/10’s, U/12’s and U/14th’s with their medals from 2008. Weather conditions were not very pleasant, nonetheless we had a great turnout of players and supporters. We would like to thank the visiting teams, Mullahoran, Killoe and Northern Gaels for travelling to give our group some very good games. We would also like to thank the referees, the members of our senior panel who helped with the presentation of medals, those who provided and helped out with the refreshments and anybody else who helped out in any way to make the day successful. The Colmcille Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday night next and hopefully this will be a great night for all.
Well done to Noel and Declan Farrell and the whole Longford squad on their great win over Cavan on Sunday last in the first round of the League.
