Club Notes Week ending Jan 4th

November 8, 2018

Well done to Declan and Noel Farrell who lined out against AIT in the first round win in the O’Byrne Cup on Sunday last. So far, they are our only representatives that are involved with the County Seniors. Longford now play Louth next Sunday at 2:15 in Pearse Park. We wish them the best of luck.

We are continuing our efforts to find a new senior manager for 2009. If you think you have the credentials and are interested in filling the post, you should contact Seamus Treacy (086 8190307).

The AGM of the Colmcille Minor Club was held on Saturday last the 3rd January in the Clubhouse and we would like to thank everybody who attended. The new committee remains similar to last year. Chairman: John Flanagan; Secretary P.J. Mulligan; P.R.O. Mary Mulligan and Matt McGauran. County Board Delegates: Cathal Hawkins, Andrew McKeon, Mattie Murtagh, P.J. Mulligan. Trainers and selectors for all ages will be finalised at a later date. It is planned to have a field day for all ages from U/14 back down to U/8’s at the end of January, more details on this later. Tickets are available for the Dinner Dance on Saturday 7th February from John Reilly, John Flanagan, Margaret Murtagh and Andrew McKeon.

The club would like to wish the Colmcille Novelty Act the best of luck on Sunday next 11th when they take part in the Leinster Scor finals.

Finally a vote of sympathy to everybody in the club who suffered bereavements during 2008.
