Club Notes Week ending November 1st

On Sunday last at Fr McGee Park we booked our place in the Leader Cup final with a one point win over neighbours Dromard.It was an entertaining game with both teams sharing the lead in the first half and Colmcille racing into a strong lead in the second, only for Dromard to claw back to within a point at the finish. In the end we deservedly held out for the win and have now reached a fourth Leader Cup final this decade. Hopefully we can finish the year with a victory against Abbeylara who defeated Clonguish in the other semi-final.

The U-21’s are due to be in action this weekend with the Leader Cup final the following weekend, check fixtures.
Off the field, the club are running a fundraiser in Murtaghs on Saturday night next. The annual club race night is taking place and race cards have been on sale from players and executive members. Again, we are looking for your valuable support in purchasing a line and turning out on the night to place a few bets. As well as raising funds for the club, you can participate in 10 races on the night where the winner will earn a good return on your chosen filly.
