Club Notes Week ending Sept 13th

Senior

In Div 1, we suffered defeat away to St Marys on Saturday on a scoreline of St Marys 5-6 St Colmcille 0-12.

Next Satruday,  the club will participate in the annual All Ireland Kilmacud Sevens in Dublin. We are in group 3 along with An Ríocht, Down; Naomh Abán, Cork; Corofin, Galway. The group games will be played in St Benildus Collegue and the first game is at 11am. The Club will run a bus up to Dublin. The cost is 20 euro per seat, and will depart from the Community Centre at 8am. To book a seat, contact Sean Mc Guaran (087 6992012) before 9pm on Thursday 17th. See club website for more details.

The Div 6 team had a comprehensive win over Moydow on Saturday and have now reached the final. Final score was Colmcille 6-19 Moydow 1-3. Team: Ali McGauran, TJ Reilly, Anthony Reilly, Mattie Kavanagh (0-2), Dermot Kiernan, Killian Reilly, Kevin Farrell, Joe Kellegher (0-1), Ciaran Brady, Andy McKeon (1-4), Niall Hudson (1-5), Michael Kilbride (3-5), Dave Donnelly (1-2).
Subs: Colin Kiernan, Colm Mulligan, Barry Kennedy (o-1), Francie Mulligan, Paddy McGahern.
Training for Div 3B and Div6 finals on Wednesday night. 

The option to buy one of the Club’s allocation of 3 All Ireland Football tickets was raffled among members. The winners were; Jack Flanagan, Sarah Ginty, Brendan Mc Cabe. Reserves; Paul Kennedy Jnr, Terry Gunshinan, Peter Reilly.

Next weeks lotto takes place in Reillys and team 7 are on duty. Marie Keenan, Enda Farrell, Mary Mulligan, Padraig Murtagh, JP Hourican.

At a recent executive meeing held in the club rooms, votes of sympathy were extended to Seamus Reilly, Smear, Sister Calasanctious (Murtagh), Jimmy Coyle, Glenmore, Helen Ledwith


Minor


Our U/14’s played against St. Vincent’s in the B 13 a Side Championship on Tuesday the 8th.  This game was held in Fr. McGee Park and St. Vincent’s came out on top at the end.  Final score was St. Vincent’s 4-11, Colmcille 1-8.  Our U/13’s played in the semi final of the Shield on Friday evening last in the Park and we had a good win in this to put us through to the final against Ardagh.   A date for this to be arranged.  On Saturday mornning last  our U/12’s took part in a Feile in Mostirm  where we won two of our games and we lost two. Thanks to all who helped out at this and to the team who played in some very hot sunshine.  Our minor amalgamation conceded their game to St. Francis in the Division 2 Minor League.  On Tuesday the 15th Colmcille/Clonbroney were due to play Longford Slashers in the U/14 A 15 a Side Championship at Michael Fay Park and results of this in next weeks notes.  Cumann na mBunscol league games will be commencing this week and we wish both Colmcille and Bunlahy schools the best of luck in these competitions
