Last Saturday the club participated in the annual Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Sevens. In the first group game, we got off to a great start with one point win over Galway’s Corafin on a scoreline of 2-4 to 2-3. We continued on our winning streak when we beat Armaghs Crossmaglen Rangers in the second game on a scoreline of 3-6 to 0-5. In the final group game, we played An Riocht from Down (who also won both their games) however we fell short and were defeated on a scoreline of 3-5 to 0-5. An Riocht finished top of the group and that put them into the Quarter Final. The competition was won outright by Clonduff (Down) who beat Longstone (Down) in the final. It was a great display from our players who represented the club and the county very well indeed. Those 10 players that competed were Padraig Murtagh, Noel Farrell, Paul Kennedy, Gary Murtagh, Francis Kavanagh, Anthony Gormley, Declan C Reilly, Enda Farrell, John Paul Reilly, Declan Farrell. There was no winner of the Sept 6th lotto draw (4, 9, 17, 29) of €2300. Lucky dip winners were Mary Donohue, David Jobe, Orla Connolly, Bernadette Reilly, Geraldine Kiernan.
There was no winner of the Sept 13th lotto draw (2,4, 14, 18) of €2400. Lucky dip winners were Johnny Gill, Theresa Mulligan, Molly Hanlon, Pauric Kavanagh.
