The Kildysart/Coolmeen U16 team had an impressive win in the Division 2 Quarter Final on Monday last beating Clarecastle by 11 points to 1 goal.  Clarecastle had the only score of the first half with a goal 14 minutes in and then were kept off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game.  Kildysart/Coolmeen made better use of the strong breeze and had the sides level within 3 minutes of the restart.  Seven points in total for Cian Murphy plus 2 from Alan Normoyle and 1 each from Barry Crehan and Sean Wallace plus some very good defense sealed amalgamation victory.

Simultaneously, the U12 Kildysart boys played against Coolmeen and won out by score-line of 02. 11 to 02. 05.  Thus the undefeated record from 2011 is still alive.  There were at least 5 sets of brothers & 1 set brother/sister playing for both team between the 2 matches U12 & U16. (Crehan, Cusack, McMahon, Ginnane, Carrig & Normoyle)

The Kildysart Ladies finished their league campaign winning no matches but they take heart from their performances and are looking forward to the Championship.

Kildysart hosted the Clare Ladies U11 trials at the weekend and it was a great success.  Representing Kildysart were Megan Sheehan and Roisin and Katie Donnellan.  Click here for team photos.

The U8’s travelled to Ennis to play in another round of blitzes and they put in great performances.  The U10’s host a blitz this Saturday at home with Clondegad and Gaels/Kimihil.

The Division 3 U16’s are scheduled to travel to Kilkee on Wednesday but this may be postponed due to the upcoming Division 2 Semi-final.

The U12’s also have to travel to Kilkee this Friday evening for their match at 7pm.
