Co. Non Exam League Final

The final of the 12-a-side non exam players’ league took place in Ballyhooley on Thursday night having been switched from Grenagh. Having beaten Kanturk in the group stages of this competition, hopes were high for a win. Unfortunately this was not to be. The Duhallow side were well over us and the players who missed the game in Rathcormac really starred with Lorcan McLoughlin scoring 2-8 – the same as our total of 3-5. Behind 4-5 to 0-1 after 25 minutes two goals from Michael Collins before the break gave us some hope. With the breeze in the second half our prospects looked fairly good. Kanturk however maintained their dominance adding 1-5 to their tally while we got 1-3, the goal coming from Daniel Dooley. In the end Kanturk won by 5-11 to 3-5.
