Co. Tipperary Junior Hurling Quarter Final

November 7, 2018

Our Junior A hurlers played Clonoulty-Rossmore in the Co. Quarter Final last Saturday in Boherlahan. After they beat us in the County league final we were hoping for a reversal of fortunes. After playing against a strong wind in the first half we were only a point behind at half time, 1-7 to 1-6 with the goal coming from Mark Mullally. We started off strong in the 2nd half and a goal from Tony O’ Brien helped us into a 5 point lead early in the half. Unfortunately we couldn’t push and Clonoulty gradually narrowed the gap and in the dying moments of the match grabbed what would be the match winning point. The match ended Clonoulty/Rossmore 2-12 St Pats 2-11. After winning back to back South titles we were hoping we would progress further in the County Championship but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. We would like to thank all the players and management team for their time and effort throughout the year. The team on the day was: John Moroney, Paddy Moroney, Conor Barry, Damien Barry, Cathal Mahoney, Neil Gleeson, Nicky Kearney, Danny Gleeson, Paul Horan, Shane Gorey, Richie Needham, Aaron Croinin, Tony O’Brien, Mark Mullally, Brendan Gleeson, Robbie Meagher, Aidan Buckley, Conor Clancy, Darren Boland, Mark Slattery, Willie O’Brien, Ciaran Mockler, Conor Cuddihy, Robert McCormack, Conor Gorey, Eamon Needham, Niall Keane, Cameron Moynihan, Dermot Molloy.
