The Community Games 5-a-side Indoor Soccer Connacht Finals were held in Sligo last weekend. It was just as well the soccer was indoors as the weekend was the first scorcher we’ve seen this year.
Kilmaine had a sizeable presence at the competition with three teams making it to the Connacht Semi-Finals, U-13 girls, U-13 boys and U-15 boys. Both the Semi-Final and the Final were held on the same day with the U-13 girls and U-15 boys winning out the Finals in the face of tough competition.
Both teams will now advance to the All-Ireland Semi-Finals which take place on May the 28th to 30th in Athlone Institute of Technology.
