After months of training, the Connacht U16 Hockey Squad was selected last weekend. Eighteen lucky players will compete in the U16 Interprovincial Tournament, to be held in Dublin on October 3rd & 4th. It will be run in conjunction with the U18 Tournament, at Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club, in Rathfarnham.
With one final weekend of training left, coach Deirdre McDermott, & assistant coach Norah Folan are confident of a successful tournament. Of the players selected at the weekend, six are members of Greenfields.
Congratulations to Niamh Callanan, Aisling Dunne, Ailbhe Finnerty, Clodagh Kennedy, Grace O’Donnell & Ciara Power. Former Greenfields member Grainne Mulkerrin is Captain of the team.
