This weekend, after over ten sessions throughout the summer, the Connacht U18 Squad was selected. This season, the Interprovincial Tournaments take on a different format, with both the U18 & U16 tournaments run in conjunction. They will take place in Dublin’s Three Rock Rovers hockey club, on October 3rd & 4th ’09.
With just under six weeks to go, Coach Richie Malone, & Assistant Coach Maeve Faherty, are anxious to put in some serious training, & build on the success of last year, where they finished at the top of the table, on equal points with Ulster, but sadly, with a lesser goal-difference. The 18 player squad announced at the weekend has five Greenfields members, & we wish them the very best of luck next month!
