Lá Na gClub:

May 10th 2009 marks the GAA’s celebration of 125 years for the country’s clubs. We at the club intend to celebrate the occasion in our own style and welcome suggestions from any club members. Initial plans are along the lines of hosting a ‘Festival of Football’ showcasing all playing members from the club in a series of games from U-8 through to Senior. There will be a few legendary past players togged out for the senior game and this is not to be missed!!!! A fun family day of activities including bouncy castles, face painting and theme balloons will also form part of the event. All are welcome along for the ocassion. Start time is 2pm.

Intermediate:

Our intermediate side lost to Enniscrone at home last Sunday afternoon on a score line of 1.07 to 1.12. The game was played in difficult conditions and the home side started with a number of positional changes. The visitors, with the aid of the breeze, raced into a 9 points to 1 lead by the break as the home side failed to make any impact on the game. Coolaney/Mullinabreena returned for the second half a more determined side and soon reduced the defecit. However, Enniscrone settled this scrappy affair with a goal coming from a defensive error as time ran out for the home team.
