Membership Lotto:

Once again we appeal to all club members to renew their Lotto membership for the New Year. Membership is Eur100 for the year and this includes entry into the monthly lotto draws plus the Christmas bonus draw. The current jackpot stands at Eur6200 and monthly prizes are also drawn. This is the club’s principal fundraiser for the year and we appeal to all club supporters to sign up by contacting any club member or on the club website. To all who have signed up to date, we thank you for your continued support.

Training continues on Wednesday evening at 8 pm and on Sunday morning at 9am. Preparations are going well to date and the first game of the season is a Kiernan Cup match away to St. Molaise Gaels on Sunday February 15th.

Minor training continues on Sunday at 11am. The first league game is fixed for Sunday February 8th.

Hard luck to St.Attracta’s Community college Tubbercurry, who lost out last week in the Connaught College’s B competition. Our club was represented by Brendan Coleman and Enda Kivlehan, both of whom played, while Seán Gorman and Raymond Connolly were panel members.

Coaching Course:

The first course of the new National Coach Education Foundation level will take place in the One Stop Shop, Tubbercurry on Friday 30th of January and in St Bridgids hall on Sat 31st of January from 10am – 2.30pm. The new course is 11 hours long with 4 hours dedicated to the code of best practice and all parts of the course are compulsory. Every team in a club must have at least 1 Foundation level award coach by 2010. For further information contact any club officer.

Any second level student currently interested in the Gaeltacht scholarship scheme can obtain an application form along with details from their respective school. Alternatively contact any club officer for more information.
