Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA Notes July 20th

Preparations continue for the Intermediate championship which will commence in a few weeks. We have been drawn in group D along with St. Pats and Cloonacool with the first game against St. Pats on the weekend of August 8/9.

Our minor side have been drawn in a group along with Geevagh and St. Pats in the B championship. The first game is fixed for August 17th.

Our U-16 side produced a stirring second half performance in Keash last Friday evening to defeat Eastern harps in this A2 championship semi final. Trailing by a point at the half, the visitors soon regained the lead and never relinquished it. Although only a point up with five minutes remaining, C/M finished strongly with four unanswered points to win on a score line of 2.12 to 2.07. Credit to both clubs for their involvement in this very entertaining encounter. C/M will now play the winners of Coolera and Calry in the final which is fixed for August 8th.
