Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA Notes June 1st




Our Intermediate side got back to winning ways last Tuesday evening with a good win over St. Michaels at Nace O’Dowd Park. This was a far more determined and focused effort from the team which led from start to finish and deservedly took the two points. Final score: C/M 3.13 St. Michaels 0.16.

Team: F Brennan, S Kivlehan, S Gorman, W Kivlehan, C Connolly, B Kivlehan, A Walsh(0.1), P McHugh, R Gallagher(0.1), M Conlon, D Doherty, T Sexton, S O’Brien(0.3), K Finan(0.8), O Lee(2.0). Subs: E Kivlehan(1.0) for M Conlon(inj), A Duggan for D Doherty(inj), A McGowan, J Connolly, K Duffy, C Gorman, M Healy, B Coleman, M Connolly. We are fixed to play Cloonacool, away, on Monday June 1st at 2pm.



Our U-14 team have been drawn against Coolera in the quarter final of the A Championship. The mach will take place on Friday June 5th in Nace O’Dowd Park at 7pm.




Our U-12 team lost out narrowly to Tubbercurry last Monday evening. They are due to play Tourlestrane on Monday June 1st  at home in the last league game.





Our U-8 players took part in a Blitz series last Saturday in Castleconnor. An U-10 blitz series will take place in early June. Coaching continues on Saturday mornings at 10am.




The club wishes to extend sympathy to the Davey family, Chaffpool on the recent death of Kathleen O’Connor, Curry( mother of Mary Davey). The club also extends sympathy to the Boland family, Achonry on the recent death of Kathleen Boland. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh said.
