Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA Notes




Our Intermediate side play Enniscrone in the league this coming Sunday April 26th at Nace O’Dowd Park. Throw in time is 3pm.




The club’s minor team completed their league campaign last week with a fine victory over Tourlestrane. The final score was 3.07 to 1.11.

Team was: Michael Healy, Aidan Coleman, Sean Gorman, Cian O Dowd, Kieran Doddy, Enda Kivlehan, James Conlon ,Raymond Connolly, Sean Davey, Conor Gorman, Conor Mc Cormack, Eoin O Dowd , Criostoir Davey, Declan Mc Cormack,Joseph Henry, Gerard Lynch, James Henry, Niall Gallagher, Kevin Mc Donagh.




Our U-16 team play Drumcliffe this Monday April 20th in Nace O’Dowd Park at 7pm. 




Our U-14 team had a good win against St. Johns last week on a score line of 2.14 to 2.02. They play away to Geevagh on Wednesday April 22nd at 7pm and have a home game against Shamrock Gaels on Friday April 24th at 6.30pm.




The U-12 team have their first outing of the season on Tuesday April 21st against Enniscrone at Nace O’Dowd Park. Throw in time is 7pm.




A Conditioned games workshop will take place in Tourlestrane on Friday April 24th with Mickey Moran. The club encourages all coaches to attend.  A code of ethics course will take place on the 18th and 19th of May in the Embassy Sligo from 7 to 9 pm.




The monthly club meeting for April will take place on Monday April 27th in St. Nathy’s Hall, Mullinabreena at 9.30pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

May 10th 2009 marks the GAA’s celebration of 125 years for the country’s clubs. We at the club intend to celebrate the occasion in our own style and welcome suggestions from any club members. Please contact any club officer with your ideas this week.




The Club wishes to extend sympathy to the family of Tom Walsh, Bunninadden and formerly Achonry who passed away last week. Tom was a member of the Mullinabreena senior championship winning side of 1958. The club also wishes to extend sympathy to the family of Val Brett, Muckelty who passed away last week.
