Pat Shortt Event:



Coolaney/MullinabreenaGAA are delighted to announce that following on from his sell out tour nationally,comedian Pat Shortt brings his show to the Castle Dargan Hotel as a fundraiserfor the club on Friday November 19th 2010. Following the phenomenal success ofYou Won’t Get Away With that Here, Pat Shortt returns with his hilarious newlive show The Hall. Set in the community hall of a small rural town, The Hallfeatures an array of madcap characters brought to life in Pat Shortt’sinimitable style. A well known comedian will also appear as a guest act on thenight.

Raffle Sponsorship:


A raffledraw for some very decent prizes will be held on the night of the Pat ShorttEvent and we are currently seeking sponsorship for prizes. Anyone interested ingetting a good plug on the night can contact 087 7981827.





The Coolaney/Mullinabreena Lotto Draw was held recently. Thenumbers drawn were 8, 11, 35 and 36. There was no Jackpot winner. Congrats toWalter & Annie Mai Kivlehan, Cloondrihara who win the monthly member’sprize of €200. The Jackpot now stands at €1800. Thanks to all our club membersfor your continued support.





Our latest club newsletter was distributed throughout bothparishes last weekend. Copies are available in shops and pubs locally. Manythanks to Jeff Kay of JDK Design, Achonry who generously sponsored thenewsletter this year.





To club would liketo extend sympathy to the families of Tommy Coleman, Emlaghfad,Ballymote, (uncle of Frank Gilmartin, Carrowrile) and

Jim Keane, Asdee,Ballybunion (brother of Tom Keane, Carniara) who passed away recently. Ar dheisDé go raibh said.





Our club have entered the U-20 A championship this year andhave been drawn in a group along with St. Johns and Curry. We play at home to St. Johns this Saturday October 9that 5pm.



Wedding Bells:


Congrats to Niall Marren, Carrowmore and Michelle Sweeney,Ballinrobe who were married in Ballina recently. Congrats also to Tomás Toolan,Coolaney and Catherine Brennan who were married recently and we wish them wellin their new abode.



Honda 50Rally 10-10-10:


Get yourHonda 50 or other means of transport ready for the up-coming rally on the 10th-10th -2010. Proceeds go towards a defibrillator for the area, &Friends of Sligo Paediatric Unit.
