Notes March 15th 2010
Lotto Members:
The
club would like to thank all our supporters who have recently signed up to our
club Lotto membership scheme for 2010. The generous support is greatly
appreciated as this is the club’s principal fundraiser for the year. The scheme
goes a long way towards providing a sound financial platform for the running
costs incurred through the year on and off the field. The first draw of the
year will take place this week and all results will be published later. Thank
You.
Intermediate:
Our
intermediate side lost out by the slimmest of margins to Curry last Sunday
morning in the Benson Cup. The final score was Curry 1.12 C/M 2.08.

Minor:
Our minor
team play Ballymote/Bunninadden on Wednesday March 17th in
Bunninadden at 11am.
U-16:
Our U-16
side play away to Eastern Harps in round two of the league next Sunday March
21st. The Tubbercurry fixture will be announced for a later date. Check the
club website for details.

The club
wishes to extend sympathy to the following after recent bereavements: The
Lipsett Family, Coolaney on the deaths of Liam senior and Rita Lipsett. The
McBrien family Athlone on the death of Rita McBrien (sister of Teasie Coleman).

Congratulations to Kieran Gannon, Mullaghanarry on winning his weight division in the Roscommon-Leitrim League recently & on winning the Boys Connaught Championship last weekend. Well done Kieran.

The book will be launched by GAA President Christy Cooney on Wednesday, 31 March, at Sligo Park Hotel at 8.30pm. It runs to 800 pages and gives a comprehensive account of GAA activity in the county since the foundation of the Association in 1884.It incorporates the Centenary History which was published in 1984 and includes a comprehensive statistical section which should be a valuable reference source for years to come. Photo coverage extends to all current clubs as well as many images of clubs from the past. The book will be available from all GAA clubs in the county. Well done to Editor Tommy Kilcoyne and his dedicated team on this superb effort.
