The following are details of the Sligo Scor Na Nog
Competitions for 2009/2010:
Semi-Final (1) South & West takes place in Easkey Community Centre on
Saturday
December 12th at 7pm. The
Competitors may take part in any number of the eight different Scór disciplines namely, Figure Dancing, Set Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Group, Quiz and Novelty Act. Competitors must be under seventeen years of age on Jan. 1st, 2010. Contact club cultural officer Hillary Brennan on 087 9499627.

Coaches Meeting:
Thanks to
all the underage coaches for attending the special meeting last week. This was
a very useful exercise for all who attended. Among the tasks on the night was
the completion of the Garda Vetting forms, now mandatory for all GAA coaches at
all levels. Various aspects of coaching in our club were discussed on the night
in what is an important forum in recognition of the sterling work carried out
by all of our club volunteers.
Nace O’Dowd Park:
All users of Nace O’Dowd Park are notified that the park is completely closed due to extensive surface repair and maintenance works carried out recently. A lengthy break of several months is now required for both playing fields and the co-operation of all users is appreciated.
