Crosshaven U15’s claimed all 3pts at home to Mayfield Utd with a 3-1 victory in tough conditions. The loss of both centre backs, Adam Welch & Christian Byrne through injury forced a reshuffle early in the game with Ronan O’Donoughue & Owen Merchant deputising. Lee Davies with his 6th goal of the season made it 1-0 on 24 minutes before a Rory O’Sullivan free kick made it 2-0 just before half time. Mayfield pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining to set up a nervy few minutes before Patrick Cotter settled the nerves with a well taken third. A special mention must go to the performance of Conor Finn in goal who pulled off several top saves at vital times in this game.
