Goals win matches and the home side got two at the right time, 15 minutes in the first half and immediately after half time. This was a good game of football played in the right spirit and featured a lot of running off the ball. Fergal Daly turned in a great first half performance scoring points in the 3rd, 7th, 10th and 21st minute. Peter Dunne added two in the 17th and 25th min. Adrian Kelly finished the scoring with a point in the 29th min to leave the half time score at 1 – 5 to 0–7. The goal after the break left a four points margin and with each side scoring four points in the remainder of the half the spoils stayed at home. Team.
