Dora Gorman selected for Ireland 'A' Squad

November 8, 2018

Greenfields are very proud to announce the selection of Dora Gorman to the Irish ‘A’ Squad.

The Ireland ‘A’ Squad is a development squad, to prepare the most talented players in Ireland to be senior international athletes.
Although only recently turned sixteen years, Dora’s hockey career has seen her play for both the Irish U16’s & Irish U18’s.
A Transition Year student at Dominican College, Taylor’s Hill, & a Greenfields member of almost 10 years, she has represented both her school & club at provincial & Irish level.
Her selection to the Irish ‘A’ Squad takes her to Rüsselsheim, Germany at the end of the month.
She will be one of 17 players competing in a competition against the German U21 Squad.
Coach Guy Garett is using this competition ‘to build on the recent development of the squad, and to strengthen the experience of our future senior players’
The ‘A’ squad performed very well against Canada in January.
Good luck & every success to Dora & the squad in Germany!
