Well done to the boys and girls from our parish who represented Tipperary in the munster finals of the Under 11 and Under 14 community games Tag rugby competition held in the U L grounds in Limerick at the weekend.
First to play was our under 14 team who played the  Co. Clare champions  in the first semi-final. Despite the best efforts of our lads, the Clare side proved to strong for us and won by a couple of tries.
Next up was our under 11 team who played Limerick. This was a much closer game with little between the sides. It was hell for leather stuff up and down the field with never more than a score or two between the sides but unfortunately our lads were beaten by one score at the final whistle. Both teams can hold their heads high on getting so far in the competition and I'm sure they'll be back again next year.
We sincerely thank the teams coaches Billy Clancy and Eamon Murphy for the effort they put in each year preparing our tag rugby teams for the community games.
