Young Drogheda United fan James O’Reilly aged nine from Navan has made it through to the final 13 in a nationwide art competition run by global Swedish furniture retailer IKEA, themed “What makes you happy?”
The young United fan submitted a picture of himself and his best friend playing for Drogheda United. Out of 2000 entries, it was chosen by IKEA to feature in their 2013 calendar alongside 12 other finalists. The calendar will be available in IKEA’s store in Dublin shortly and all proceeds go to the Laura Lynn House (Ireland’s first children’s hospice).
