Under14’s
Pride of place this week goes to our under14 hurlers who won the Feile county final in spectacular fashion. They defeatedKilruane in the semi final by 0-9 to 0-5 with a hard fought display from allthe players who showed serious fight and determination to pull off the win. Theythen faced Clonoulty Rossmore team in the final . They started brightly and hadscored 2-13 by half time playing with a strong wind whilst also holding theiropponents scoreless. Clonoulty battled back and scored 1-2 but our lads showedtheir true grit and determination and finished the game as winners by 2-17 to1-2. It would be impossible to single out any one or two players for praise asthis was a brilliant team performance from the youngest to the oldest playerwho all contributed equally. This is the first time since 1995 that we have wonthe county Feilena nGael final and the players can now look forward to the weekend stage in Galway on 24th June.
Also well done to Thomas Nolan, EmmetMoloney, Colm Kinane, Mikey Connors, Kevin Hassett, Ciaran Thorpe and JamieBergin on being picked for the Mid under 14 hurling panel.
