Drom-Inch GAA club Weekly notes

Senior Hurling
Our senior hurlers qualified for the county league Premierdivision final with a convincing 1-23 to 4-9 victory over Toomevara inTemplemore on Saturday evening last. Attention now turns to the Mid Seniorhurling final which takes place on Sunday 24th July in Templetuohy.This year there is a ticket system in place for the final and tickets can begot through the club. Prices are as follows Adult €10, OAP/Students €5. Howeverof the €10 ticket fee, the mid board are donating €2 to the club so bypre-booking a ticket you will be helping to raise much needed funds for theclub. Anyone who wishes to purchase a ticket must contact Pat Egan.
IntermediateHurling
Our Intermediate hurlers got their campaign back on trackwith a fantastic team display to defeat Clonakenny 2-15 to 1-15. Trainingcontinues this week.
Bon Voyage
This week sees a fantastic club man Conor Ryan leave forforeign shores as a result of the current economic climate due to a shortage ofwork. Conor is a fantastic stalwart of the club and will leave a huge void inthe club as a result of his emigration. Conor is one of the main reasons thatthe club Lotto is a huge success and Conor was also field officer in the Raggand done a fantastic job in keeping order. It was a great sight to see so manyin Ryan’s Pub in Drom on Friday night last as the GAA club and Lotto committeemade presentations to Conor. We hope that one day times may change and Conorwill return to take up a role in the club again. For now we wish him the verybest of luck with his travels and work commitments.
Munster Final
Congrats to Seamus Callanan and James Woodlock who were partof the Tipperary Panel that comprehensively defeated Waterfordin the Munsterfinal on Sunday.
Long Puck Munster Final
Well done to Shane Hassett who finished in 3rdplace in the Munsterfinal of Long Puck last Saturday in Thurles Racecourse. Shane completed thecourse with 26 pucks with eventual winner Stephen Brenner of Waterford winning with 24.
Under 12
The under 12s are out on Monday 11thJuly against Boherlahan in Dualla @ 7.30pm
 
Under 14
Our Under 14’s continued their winning start to thechampionship with a good victory over a strong Moycarkey Borris team. Despitebeen short a couple of players they showed why they are Feile champions andkicked on to win in the end.
 
 
Under 16
The under 16s second round of thechampionship is against JK Brackens in Templemore Park onMonday 11th July @7:00pm
 
Under6,8,10
Our Under 6, 8, 10’s travelled in great numbers toCloughjordan on Monday night last to play Kilruane McDonaghs in challenge games.We thank Kilruane for hosting these games. Thanks to Holycross Ballycahillunder 10’s for coming to the Ragg on Saturday morning last for a challengematch.
