The under 10 Paddy Carey cup for 2010 tookplace in The Ragg field on Saturday morning last on a fine fresh morning.Borrisoleigh, Toomevara and Thurles Gaels were the teams invited toparticipate along with the host team Drom-Inch. Each game was keenly contestedand there were some very skilful hurlers on show for all teams. Toomevara beatBorrisoleigh in a very closely contested and high skilled semi final after scoringa last minute goal in injury time of the second half. Drom-Inch came outwinners against Thurles Gaels scoring great goals and long rangepoints in the second semi final. So in the end the Paddy Carey Cup final wascontested by Drom-Inch and Toomevara. At the end of the first half, Toomevarawere ahead but Drom-Inch were starting to apply strong pressure. This pressurecontinued into the second half but Toomevara were too strong and emergedwinners after a fine tough sporting game.
