DUBLIN 1-19 WEXFORD 0-16

A 12-point as Dublin captured the Bord na Mona Walsh Cup in Sunday’s decider in Bellefield, Enniscorthy.

The opening exchanges were tight with the sides level on six occasion before David O’Callaghan’s goal in the 30th minute set the Dubs on the road to victory.

The St Mark’s man was on as a ‘blood sub’ for Dublin captain Johnny McCaffrey when he cracked home the only goal of the game to put his side 1-6 to 0-6 in front and by the break Dublin added three further points.

Wexford rallied early in the second half but Dublin stood strong with Shane Durkin particularly prominent as Dublin finished the game out strongly when scoring five of the last seven points of the clash.
