November 8, 2018

BORD GAIS ENERGY LEINSTER GAA U-21 HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
Dublin v Wexford
July 14th @ 7:15pm   GAA Beo coverage begins on TG4

Live from Parnell Park with Dublin v Wexford match throwing-in at 7:30pm. GAA Beo will be presented by Micheál Ó Domhnaill with commentary and analysis by Mac Dara Mac Donncha and Diarmuid Lyng.  The match will also be broadcast live on http://www.tg4.tv.

Dublin will be playing in their eighth Leinster final at U-21 level after defeating Kilkenny in the semi final, while Wexford are competing for the provincial title for the first time in six years. Dublin caused a surprise – with the bookies anyway – when they powered to a five-point victory over holders Kilkenny in the Bord Gais Energy Leinster U-21 Hurling semi-final at Nowlan Park with a final scoreline of Dublin 0-17 Kilkenny 0-12.  After beating Offaly in the previous round, the Cats were going for a three-in-a-row of provincial successes this year, but Richard Stakelum’s Dublin put an end to this chance with a great win in the semi-final.

Wexford are through to the final after a four point win, but only after they survived a late scare from underdogs Carlow in the semi-final at Wexford Park. Wexford, under the management of Tony Dempsey, were dominant in the opening half but after a good Carlow comeback in the 2nd half the match finished Wexford 2-17 Carlow 2-13.
