DUBLIN 7-13 DUBS STARS 0-8

Three Paul Ryan goals helped Dublin hurlers to a facile 26-point victory in Tuesday’s Evening Herald/Dubs Stars at St Peregrine’s.

The Dubs got off to a flying start and blitzed the Dubs Stars inside the opening 15 minutes when raising the green flag on three occasions.

It was a tempo they maintained throughout, when leading 5-4 to 0-5 at half-time, despite the best efforts of Dubs Stars full-back Paul Schutte who excelled despite the margin between the sides on the scoreboard.

The Dubs Stars’ luck really abandoned them when reserve goalie, Bill McCormack, had to retire with a bad ankle injury shortly after entering the action.
