This week’s Dundalk Democrat, due to be published on Wednesday (26 August), will include a pullout feature on Shop Dundalk, an initiative undertaken by Dundalk FC this season that has grown to over 100 members. The eight-page pullout will consist of either advertisements or photographs of all members that wish to be acknowledged.
Shop Dundalk, which is acting as the club’s main sponsor this year, is headed by Fintan Nelson, who is pleased with its progress and feels the Democrat supplement will further increase the profile of the project. ’I’m satisfied with how it’s going so far,’ Fintan told dundalkfc.com. ’The publishing of the pullout tomorrow and the Dundalk FM radio programmes each Wednesday – where Shop Dundalk members are getting the opportunity to promote their own businesses – should be of great benefit to members and shows our commitment to honouring what we promised at the launch of the promotion. Based on this, it should only be a matter of time until people are approaching us to become members.’
