Dundalk Gaels recorded a 0-16 to 1-4 victory over St Patricks on Monday night in Lordship.
The Gaels opened the scoring through a David McComish point before the Pats quickly responded with a point. Niall Rodgers then hit a free for the Gaels before both teams exchanged several wides. The Pats then had three unanswered scores including a goal before an Eanna McArdle and Niall Rodgers point left the half time score with the Gaels behind by 1-3 to 0-4
An impressive second half display saw some good work and scoring by the Gaels. The Gaels scored 12 points in the second half while it took the Pats 28 minutes to register their only score of the second half.
The Gaels now face local rivals Clan Na Gael at 6pm in the Ramparts on Saturday the 19th of June with victory needed to try and qualify for a top 4 finish.
