Last Wednesday evening in O’Connor Park Edenderry BNS hurlers took to the field to play Ballinamere in the Cumann na mBunscoil Hurling Final.
This was Edenderry’s third final in a row having won in 2011 and losing the 2012 final to the same opposition.
The young Edenderry boys played with great intensity and defended very well in the first half. At half time they were just a single point behind having played against a very strong wind.
With the wind on their backs in the second half Edenderry began to control the game and as the saying goes goals win games. So it was to be with Edenderry getting the scores at vital times to secure their second title in three years on a 4-05 to 2-03 scoreline.
Well done to all the players involved and to Mr Ger Ryan who puts in a tremendous amount of work with the boys each year.
