DEEPEST SYMAPTHY

Edenderry GAA would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the O’Grady family of Ballinowlart, Clonbullogue, the Holt Family of Castleview Park, the Byrne family of Francis Street, and the Keegan Family of Ballyhagan, Carbury on their recent sad bereavements.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Offaly senior footballers snatched a point from their National Football League meeting with Longford at Tullamore last Sunday, when Ciaran McManus held his nerve to kick a last minute 45’ over the bar. This was the first game of the interim management of Thomas Coffey, Phil O’Reilly and Vinny Claffey, after Richie Connor stepped down after a blatant showing of player power.

NATIONAL HURLING LEAGUE

The Offaly senior hurlers beat near neighbours Westmeath on a scoreline of 3-22 to 1-17 last Sunday in Division 2 of the National Hurling League in Cusack Park, Mullingar.
