Edenderry Ladies Gaelic Football News

November 8, 2018

Edenderry Ladies GAA club held it’s AGM on Wednesday last January 16th in the GAA Centre.

There was a very comprehensive review of the year and plans put in place for the coming 2013 season. Chairperson Niall Comerford welcomed all to the meeting which began with the secretary’s (Tricia Doyle) report. Tricia went through the various teams achievements throughout the year, and advised that while we did not win any trophys this year, we did compete well in all age groups, and the U14s, U16s and Minors all reached the County Final. She thanked all the coaches/managers for all their hard work and commitment and also congratulated Kym Furey and Christine McDonnell as recipients of National All Star Awards last year and this year.

As Tricia is stepping down as Secretary, she thanked the Committee and all Officers of the Club for all their hard work and assistance throughout her tenure. We would like to thank Tricia for her huge dedication over the past 3 years and hope to see back in the fold sometime in the future.

The Treasurer’s report by Liz Rickard was also very comprehensive with Liz outlining how difficult 2012 was financially but the club still ended the year in the black so well done and big thanks to Liz. The speeches concluded with the Chairperson thanking all the committee, Gabriel and Bernie Gorman for their work with Feile in 2012, the coaches, parents, main club committee members, Pat Cullen and the club’s sponsors particularly our main sponsor Walsh and Kealy (Andy Walsh).
