Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 11th May 2015

Well done to the Seniors, who defeated Kilmore in the first round of the Championship on Saturday on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-11. In Round Two they'll face Boyle (away) on the weekend of May 31st. 

Thank you to all who helped out with the successful hosting of the game. 

The Minor's opening game of the Championship was abandoned following a serious injury to St. Aidan's player Darragh Keegan. The Club wish Darragh a speedy recovery. There are no Minor matches scheduled until after the Leaving Cert and players will be contacted regarding training. 

The Under 16s take on Castlerea St. Kevins in the League Final on Wednesday at 7pm. The venue has not been confirmed at the time of writing,but will be published here as soon as it's confirmed

The Under 14s were defeated by St. Aidans in the last round of the League on Thursday and the Under 12s were defeated by Boyle.Their last game of the Spring League is away to Éire Óg on May 23rd. 

Our Under 10s took part in their first Go Games blitz of the season in Strokestown on Saturday. It was a most enjoyable day for everybody involved as we played three games and every child got game time – which is the ethos of the Go Games. The children that took part on the day were John Beirne, Cathal Enright, Dylan Scott, Cian Nolan, Sam O'Rourke, Jude O'Rourke, Cian Tiernan, Cameron Elliot, Alex Kielty, John Anthony Quinn, Casey Durr, Gavin Kielty, Daire Tiernan, Karen Kielty, Annalise Murray and Katie Flanagan. Thank you to Strokestown for their hospitality after the games. Training will continue on Wednesday at 6:30pm and there will be no training for Under 10s, 8s or 6s this Saturday.
