Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 18th May 2015

The May Club Executive Meeting takes place on Wednesday at 8:30pm in the Clubrooms. 

The Juniors take on Ballinameen (away) in the League on Wednesday at 8pm 

Commiserations to the U-16s on their 3-8 to 0-6 defeat to Castlerea St Kevins in the League Final. Back to full strength for the opening game of the Championship on Friday they defeated St. Croans by 5-6 to 3-5, with the goals coming from John Rhattigan, Enda Killoran and three from Aidan Main. 

The U-14s host Kilbride in their last game of the League on Wednesday at 7pm. Note change of venue

The U-12s faced Tulsk in a very exciting challenge on Sunday. Down by 7 points at half time they worked very hard after the break, scoring 11 points and keeping Tulsk scoreless. The whole panel played very well and a special mention must go to Captain Evan Gunn, Jack Durr and Dylan Scott. They play Éire Óg this Saturday, details TBC. 

The U-10s have a challenge against St. Marys on Wednesday at 6:30pm in Carrick. Parents are encouraged to Car Pool and details of the game will also be sent via text.

We wish John Anthony Quinn a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him playing again soon. 

Coaching for U-10s, U-8s and 6s resumes on Saturday at 10am.

Congratulations to all our players who received their First Communion and Confirmation during the past week.

 
2015 Membership is now well overdue and Officers will be attending upcoming training sessions to collect. All players must be registered before they can play and the rates are as follows: Family (Adults and all School-going children) €100, Adult Player €50, Third Level Player €30, Underage player €20 and non-playing Adult €30. The Gym membership fee of €50 (Student fee €30) is also due and Membership Forms are available from Gerry O'Rourke on 086 383 6140.
