The Seniors were defeated by the narrowest of margins in the Orchard on Sunday. Despite goals from Frankie Cregg, Fintan Cregg, Kevin Brady and Shane Killoran a late St. Brigids point secured a 3-12 to 4-8 win for the visitors. They are due to play Strokestown in the Orchard on Saturday at 7pm.
The Minors were defeated by St. Faithleachs on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-8 in the last round of the League.
The Under 16s defeated St. Aidans by 5-9 to 2-11 and have qualified for the League Semi-Final.
The Under 14s were defeated by Castlerea St. Kevins on Thursday evening however the second half performance of this young team against the top team in the Division, was impressive and they continue to play good football.
The Under 12s game away to Castlerea was rescheduled for Wednesday at 7:30pm (Team Captained by Cian Beirne) and they are due to play Oran in the Orchard on Saturday at 5pm (Team Captained by Rachel Gormley). Thank you to Benny and Colm Rock and Paddy Fox for taking the Under 12 coaching session on Saturday, the players really enjoyed it.
Training continues for Under 6s 8s and 10s on Saturday at 10am in the Orchard and players are reminded that they must wear a mouthguard in order to participate. Teas/Coffees will be available for Parents in the Kitchen above the Dressing Rooms, it would be great if you could stay for the duration of the session.
