Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 20th JULY 2015

November 8, 2018

The Seniors enjoyed a comprehensive 2-17 to 0-7 over Tubbercurry in the Leo Kenny Cup Quarter-Final and tomorrow (Tuesday) they host All-Ireland Club Champions Corofin in the Semi-Final at 8:15pm and the game will be preceded by the Minor Championship game against Michael Glaveys at 6:45pm. Your support for these two big games would be appreciated.

The Seniors are back in action on Saturday when they face Western Gaels away in the League at 7:30pm and on Sunday the Juniors hope to continue their unbeaten run when they host Strokestown B at 1pm.

The U-16s travel to Éire Óg on Monday for their Round 4 Championship game at 7:30pm.
The-14s have received a bye this week.

The U-12s played out a very exciting 4-7 apiece Draw with Éire Óg last Monday evening and on Saturday they hosted St. Dominics. The game was played in atrocious conditions with the team playing into strong winds in the first half. Although they dominated the first 15 minutes of the second half they were unable to catch up despite working hard until the final whistle. The game finished 8-6 to 2-4 and Emily Gleeson was our Player of the Match, with Evan Gunn, John Finnery and Evan Murray also in top form.
Coaching for U-10s, 8s and 6s resumes on Saturday at 10am. Unfortunately last Saturday's U-8 Blitz was postponed at the last minute. Many thanks to all the parents and children who were travelling over when notice of the cancellation was received. The next Blitz takes place on Saturday August 8th.
There was no winner of last week's Club Lotto Draw, numbers drawn 1, 11, 22 and 23. The Lucky Dip winners of €25 were Ursula Casserly; Brendan Neary; Bridget Tansey, Ballinameen and Grace McElhone, Kilmore. This week's Jackpot will be €2,800 and the Draw will be held in An Bothar Rua. Play now at
