Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 22nd JUNE 2015

The Juniors had a hard earned but deserved 1-13 to 1-9 win over St. Ronans on Wednesday night. They were due to play Strokestown B in the next round on Friday however it has been postponed 

 
The Seniors are away to Tulsk in the League on Saturday at 6pm. Note change of date and time.
 
Our minor team, missing a number of key players, suffered a 6-14 to 6-10 defeat to Western Gaels this evening (Monday)
 
Best of luck to our U-16s, who host Kilbride in the Championship on Sunday at 12pm. 
 
The U-14s suffered an 8-5 to 3-3 defeat to Clann na nGael B in the Championship. 
 
The Orchard Park was a hive of activity on Saturday as the club hosted the an U-10 Regional Go Games Blitz. With over 80 children in attendance it was a most enjoyable day and everything like clockwork thanks to an excellently planned timetable by Iggy Geraghty. The club would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day including the Coaches, Referees and the Parents for a generous supply of refreshments and for giving so much of their time; it was very much appreciated. The following players represented the Club with distinction on the day:

Training for U-10s will continue on Saturday morning at 10am.

The club wishes Dylan Casey of Strokestown a speedy recovery from the injury that he picked up during the Blitz.

 
The U-8s travel to St. Croans on Saturday morning for their latest Go-Games Blitz. Parents are reminded that players must be in Enfield for 10:40am and must bring their mouth guard. There will be no training for U-6s this Saturday. 
 
Members of Belanleck GAA Club, Co. Fermanagh visited the Orchard Park on Saturday morning as part of their fundraising Cycling to all 1630 GAA clubs in Ireland last weekend. 
 
There was no winner of last weekend's Club Lotto Jackpot, numbers drawn were 9, 13, 22 & 30. The lucky dip winners of €25 were Ann Beirne, Tullyloyd; Eva Malone, Ballintubber; Michael O'Rourke c/o Cooneys and John Joe Shanagher, Ansville.
