Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 27th JULY 2015

The Seniors defeated Western Gaels by 1-16 to 0-11 in the League on Saturday evening with Fintan Cregg scoring 8 points. They are away to Boyle on Saturday at 7:30pm. On Tuesday last they were defeated by All-Ireland Champions Corofin in the Leo Kenny Cup Semi-Final on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-11. 

The Juniors continued their unbeaten run with a 4-11 to 1-6 win over Strokestown B in the League and an outstanding display of defending by Christy O'Connor was the highlight of the game. They have a busy week ahead and are due to host St. Croans B tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8pm and Clann na nGael C at the weekend in the Championship (details TBC). 

The Minors suffered a 5-12 to 4-12 defeat to Michael Glaveys on Tuesday. 
The U-16 enjoyed a 7-6 to 3-15 win over Éire Óg yesterday (Monday) and they host Michael Glaveys on Sunday at 12pm in the Orchard. 
Best of luck to Aaron, Enda and the Roscommon U-16s in the Ted Webb Shield Final on Friday at 7pm in the Connacht GAA Centre. 
The U-14s are due to play Roscommon Gaels B on Thursday at 7:30pm in Lisnamult. 
The District U-12 League started on Saturday with the two teams captained by Rachel Gormley and Danny Traynor. Rachel's team won first match with some outstanding performances on both sides, most notably Ellie Brady, who scored 8 points from play, Jack Durr, Sam & Jude O Rourke, Rachael &Alan Gormley, Emily Gleeson, Evan Murray & John Finnerty. Training continues as usual this week. 
The U-10s Go Games Blitz planned for Saturday in Ballinlough has been rescheduled for August 8th. Training continues as usual on Saturday at 10am
Coaching for U-6s and U-8s continues on Saturday at 10am. We will host the next round of the U-8 Go Games Blitz on August 15th (Note change of date), full details will be sent to parents via text during the week. 
There was no winner of last weekend's Club Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3, 13, 17 and 24 and the four lucky dip winners of €25 were Pat Kellegher, Vivian McDermott, Dessie Glancy and Ciaran Beirne, Carrantogher. This weekend's Draw takes place in The Tower Inn and the Jackpot is €2,900. Play now at
