Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 28th JULY 2014

November 8, 2018

It was a busy week for our Adult Footballers; on Wednesday night the Seniors defeated Clann na nGael by 0-12 to 1-6 and and on Sunday they recovered from a goal and a point down at the break to draw with Boyle: 0-13 to 1-10. Their next game is against Padraig Pearses in the Championship. Check out ourFacebook Page for reports on both games

An understrength Junior team drew with St. Ronans, 1-11 apiece, in a very sporting game on Friday night. Hopefully they will have all players available for Wednesday's re-arranged game with St. Barrys in Tarmonbarry.

The Minors were also missing a number of players in their 2-10 to 1-16 Championship defeat to Kilbride last Monday night. Their next game is away to St. Ronans on Friday week.

Well done to Luke Mollahan and the Roscommon Under 16s who have qualified for the Ted Webb Cup Final on Monday next in the Connacht GAA Centre. As a result our Under 16s Club Championship game Kilglass Gaels-St. Barrys has been postponed.

Combined training for the Minors and Under 16s takes place on Thursday at 7pm in the Orchard

The Under 12s continued their winning ways by defeating Shannon Gaels in the Keenan Cup and play Boyle in the Quarter Final this week. Full details TBC.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to our Under 8 Blitz last Saturday, a great day was had by all.

The Club extends it's sympathy to the family of the late Gerry Finneran, Ballinagare; President of Western Gaels GAA Club.

The Orchard Park will be a hive of activity this Sunday for our “Lá na gClub” .
