Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 3rd AUG 15

November 8, 2018

The Seniors suffered a 4-11 to 1-13 defeat to Boyle in the League on Saturday. They play Strokestown in the Championship on Saturday at 7pm in Kilmore(note change of venue) and your support would be appreciated.

Our Junior game last Wednesday was disappointingly conceded by St. Croans at the last minute. They remain on top of the League and play Michael Glaveys in the Championship on this night week in Ballinlough.

The Minors host St. Ronans in the Championship on Thursday at 8pm. The U-16s defeated Éire Óg by 7-6 to 3-15 on Monday and received a walkover from Michael Glaveys on Sunday. They will face Kilbride in the Championship Semi-Final in a few weeks time. Well done to Aaron and Enda and the Roscommon U-16s on winning the Ted Webb Shield last Friday.

The U-14s were narrowly defeated by Roscommon Gaels on a scoreline of 6-11 to 6-9 last Thursday. Despite being without a number of regulars they played some of their best football of the year so far. They host Boyle on Thursday at 6:45pm.

The U-12s take on Oran in Rockfield on Monday the 10th at 7:30pm.

The U-10s Go Games Blitz due to be played in Ballinlough on Saturday was postponed until this Saturday at 11am. Parents are asked to have their children in Ballinlough for 10:40am and to bring a drink and a mouthguard. In the interest of player safety the “No mouthguard, no game” policy will apply. Coaching for U-8s and U-6s continues on Saturday at 10am and we will host the rescheduled U-8 Go Games Blitz on Saturday 15th instead of this weekend.

There was no winner of last weekend's Club Lotto Jackpot, numbers drawn were 6, 16, 17 and 27. The Lucky Dip winners were Colm Beirne; Catriona Martin c/o The Tower Inn; Sean Neary, Clooncullane; and Pat Mollihan, Ardagh. The Jackpot is now worth €3,000 and this weekend's Draw will take place in Timmys. Play now at https://www.locallotto.ie/play.asp?LL_ID=321
