Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 5th May 2018

Adult Football

The Junior Team B got their championship off to a flying start with a 4-21 to 1-8 win over Kilbride in the Orchard on sunday last. The Team and scorers were Jack O’Donnell, Eoin Mollahan, Jason Carney, Darren Lee, John King, Enda Killoran, Alex Gleeson, Brian Neary (1-3), Paul Kelleher(2-2), Brendan Rock (0-3), Ciaran Beirne(0-1), Dylan Shanagher(0-8), Brendan Neary(1-0), Dillon Beirne(0-1), Ciaran O’Donnell. Subs used Seanie O’Beirne (0-3) Shane Mulhern and Dermot O’Reilly. The second round is this Saturday against St Croans at 7pm in Enfield. Please come along and support.

Elphin/Ballinameen Round-up

The U14 Elphin/Ballinameen game against Kilglass/St. Barry’s is now fixed for Monday 7th May in Tarmonbarry at 12pm.

The U12’s play St. Aidan’s on Thursday 3rd in the Orchard at 7.15.

Elphin LGFA

The U16s finished their group games with a loss to Padraig Pearses in the Orchard. Next game will be 1/4 final match on a date to be confirmed.

The U12s started their championship with a win against Strokestown on a final score of 11 to 8. Their next game is away to Roscommon Gaels on Sunday 6th May at 6pm.

The U14s start their league on Wednesday 2nd May at 7pm in Kilmore v Michael Glaveys.

Best wishes to Lauren Shanagher & Natasha Munnelly and their Roscommon u16 teammates who take on Mayo in the Connacht B final on Friday evening.

Elphin GAA Lotto:

There was no winner of this week’s lotto, the numbers drawn were: 3, 15, 21, 24. The Lucky Dip winners were Edel Hennessy, Hazelwood Park; Katie O’Rourke, Windmill Rd; Martin Burke, Clooncullane, Catherine Scott, Lisboy. This week’s jackpot is €6,100 and the Draw will take place in An Bothar Rua. Entry is just €2, Envelopes are available in local shops or you can play here.
