GAA and Parish Notes

Ballina GAA and Parish Lotto Build Up:   As you know, our Jackpot figure now stands at €10,800.   A  Build Up Jackpot is now underway and presently stands at €2,800.  As long as the main Jackpot is not won, each Jackpot figure will receive the €200 bonus every second week.

 

Congratulations: Congratulaitons to Stephen O Brien and Michael Breen who were part of the Tipperary Under 16 panel which defeated Galway in the All Ireland Final in Thurles on Sunday last.

 

Intermediate Football: A Championship game against Ballinahinch will be played on September 12th in Shallee.

 

Leaving Cert Results: Congratulations to all club members who recently received Leaving Cert Results.  We wish everyone involved the very best of luck in their future careers.

 

All Ireland Final:  Best of luck to everyone travelling to the All Ireland Finals next weekend.  A number of Tipperary teams, including Ballina will take part in the 7’s in Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday.  Hopefully Tipperary can stop the Cats winning the 5 in a row and bring the Liam McCarthy Cup back to the Premier County. 

Fridays in Ballina:  Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 10.30am to 5pm.  Midday Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm.  Why not come along and pray awhile with us?

Parish Office:  The Parish Office will re-open on Wednesday next, September 1st from 10.30am to 1.30pm.

Wedding Bells:  Congratulations to Ann Marie Minogue, Roulagh and Brian Fitzgibbon, Nenagh: Shane Ryan, Boher and Sinead Doyle, Beaumount: Patrick O’Donovan and Olivia Murphy, Ard Coillte who married recently.

First Friday:   Friday next, September 3rd is the First Friday of the month.   Holy Communion will be brought to the sick and housebound on Thursday.  Masses on Friday will be at 10am in Ballina and 7.30pm in Boher.

Recently Baptised:   We welcome into God’s family: Nate Jon Patrick Bradbury, son of Nick and Mary, Cnoc Cluain: Danny Trevor Hammond, son of Donal and Elaine, Ard Coillte and Molly Ann Darcy, daughter of John and Rachel, Roulagh.

Recently Deceased:   Remember in your prayers the souls of Danny Murray’s (Shannon View) dad who died in Belfast and Biddy Mackey, Nenagh, sister of Patsy Healy, Derrycastle.
